there was once a mother duck, she laid 7 eggs. she was very happy and cared for her eggs well. one day her eggs started to hatch, one by one they hatched. the first six ducklings had beautiful yellow feathers and chirped sweetly. until the last egg hatched, it was grey and different from the rest. and from that day on, no other ducklings like to play with that ugly duckling.once there was a boy, he lived in a quarrelsome family. his family always quarrel because of him as he was a slight retard, and whenever he gets upset he will start throwing things randomly. one day his family brought him to japan, where he got lost. there was a gangster who owed a big loan from a secret society, he was desperate to pay up his debts. the gangster saw the boy on the streetway looking lost and wanted to rob him. the boy claimed to the gangster:"i know you. do you remember me? we used to be classmates during grade 3." the gangster was puzzled as he couldnt recall a thing. "i am waiting here for my brother, he said he was going away for a while. but i have waited for him for 5 hours and dont see him anywhere." the gangster was surprised of his patience, yet he still managed to hand the boy's wallet from his open bag and walked away. the gangster was frustrated when he found out the boy's cute wallet was completely empty. though the boy was retarded, he was not stupid, he kept his money at somewhere private on his body. as the gangster threw away the wallet, the members of the secret society appeared and surrounded him. he was then brought to the head of loan shark at the roof top where he got beaten up and drunk badly. "you better pay up or else you will have only two choices." the loan shark held the gangster over the roof top edge. "you either fall from here, or work for me. as a duck." the loan shark and his men left. the boy was still standing on the same spot, urgent to pee. then he saw someone peeing onto a pile of boxes by the roadside, he decided to do so too. while peeing, the gangster was thrown from a car onto the boxes, where he got peed on the face. "get me up.", the gangster shouted with heavy eyes. the boy tried to get him up, but the gangster could not stand still. the gangster kept complaining "i told you to get me up, i want to go home". after that the gangster cried on the floor, the boy then hugged him and sang a lullaby. on the next day, the gangster woke up in his apartment. the boy was scribbling away in a notebook at the table. upon seeing the gangster had woke up, he started telling him how much he owed him for the cab fee and food. the gangster was irritated, he then went to find his good friend for advise, the boy followed as he nagged about the loan. at the bar, they saw a girl crying as her hand held a mug of beer. the boy looked curiously, and the gangster patted the girl and said "told you not to play with loan sharks". the gangster told the boy to sit by the bar as he looked for his friend. he went in and told his friend about the loan sharks and how he was supposed to find a million to return. his friend told him the best way was to be a duck, she then said looks does not matter as long he was willing to do anything the female want. the gangster was very confused, then they walked out of the room and saw the crying girl not crying anymore. yet smiling and cuddling on the boy's shoulder. the gangster was clueless, then his friend said "you didnt tell me you have such a handsome friend" and started touching his face around. she then whispered to the gangster "he has potential", leaving the gangster in much thinking. after the two guys reached home, the gangster asked the boy how he did it. the boy then explained he had a special gift, whoever he hugged will turn happy. "dont you remember? that day when you were drunk, you were crying so loudly. then you smiled so silly when i sang you a lullaby and hugged you". the gangster could not recall, the boy continued "i used to hug a lot of people and make them happy. but until they know im a retard, they never want to hug me. who wants to hug a retard, nobody wants to play with me also". the gangster then asked "do you want to make a lot of jie jies happy? you have a chance" the boy was rather delighted and agreed. the gangster taught him what to do and what to say in japanese, other than hugging which he could just naturally do. the gangster then brought the boy on a makeover, styled his hair and bought suits for him. the boy was a hit, and earned quite a lot. and the gangster kept pushing him to go on and on, the boy was very tired. to be continued..
